ABOUT

I studied for a Bachelor of Fine Art Degree at the Dublin Institute of Technology with an interest in drawing and sculpture. Within studying for this degree, I not only explored these artistic mediums but also the mediums of photography, printing, video editing, and painting. I graduated with a Second Class Honours Upper Division in 2018 and wanted to continue exploring my art practice.

I decided to complete a Master of Fine Art Degree at the National College of Art and Design. This allowed me a studio space to explore my interest in drawing and sculpture leading to me creating one of the largest sculptures exhibited in the Master of Fine Art first year group show, exploring more contemporary art practices and exhibitions, and visiting the Venice Biennale in 2019. I graduated with a Master of Fine Art Degree in 2020 with our graduation occurring online due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Currently, I’m completing my final year at the Professional Masters of Education at the National College of Art and Design. Studying during the two years of this course, I have pushed my artist practice further and merged it into gained knowledge of the teaching practice evolving my identity as an art educator. In doing this, the course allowed me to engage in collaborative learning with my peers' art practices, engage in visual art classes gaining new skills, learning about the philosophy of education, sociology and psychology all leading to my practice as an art educator.
