SEN PLACEMENT

Cú Chulainn is the name of the Autistic Unit in Ballymakenny College. Cú Chulainn only opened in September 2016 and it's ambition is to nurture and develop a community of life-long learners.

Cú Chulainn aims to prepare students with basic life skills and the social skills they need to equip help them make a successful transition into adulthood. The school tries try to promote their independence and self-esteem in a safe, secure and fun learning environment where we can inspire each student to thrive, grow and achieve their highest potential in life. Cú Chulainn is equipped with facilities such as a kitchen, ipads and a multi-sensory room to help promote and meet the diverse needs of our students.
